Norma F. Luce
1917 – 2009
LEWISTON — Norma F. Luce, 91, formerly of Wyman Road, Auburn, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Ouellette’s Adult Foster Care on Rosedale Street, where she had been a resident for the past 4½ years.
She was born in Hartland, Dec. 26, 1917, the daughter of Oscar and Isa Elliot Whitten. Educated in Hartland area schools, she also attended Colby College, and was employed as a secretary by the Bates Mill for many years.
She moved to the Taylor Pond area approximately 70 years ago, and took great pride in her land, clearing brush and maintaining her property like a park for the enjoyment of her neighbors.
Survivors include a daughter, Lennice “Lennie” Godbout of Auburn; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Leona Page and Dorothy Anderson.
