William A. Carro
1917 – 2009
SOUTH PARIS — William A. Carro, 92, of Norway died Friday, Sept. 11, at Market Square Health Care Center.
He was born in Lisbon Falls, March 2, 1917, the son of Paul and Maude Currier Carro. He faithfully served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a construction worker, driving heavy equipment. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, puzzles and he was an avid gardener.
He is survived by a daughter, Vickie Grenier of Otisfield; a son, Gordon Carro of Alaska; four grandchildren, Tina Farrar, Ena Derenburger, Justin Carro and Jason Ryan; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie of South Paris and Robert of Oxford; and a sister, Lillian Calos of Florida.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian.
