RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Gerald E. Easter Sr. was celebrated Friday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. James Martel was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Precious Lord Take My Hand,” “On Eagles Wings,” “Be Not Afraid” and “Amazing Grace.” Readings were done by his daughters-in-law, Lorraine Easter and Donna Easter. The eulogy was given by his son, Gerald Easter Jr. Pallbearers were Matthew Drouin, Patrick Easter, Adam Easter, Dana Grover, Christopher Abbott, Steve Park, Douglas Easter and Cooper Easter. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. Military Honors were rendered by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program. A reception followed in the parish hall.
