Seniors meet

LIVERMORE FALLS — After their summer recess, the Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens resumed their weekly meetings at Murray Hall on Sept. 14 with 29 members present.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for deceased members and for the men and women in the Armed Forces.

It was noted that three of the members passed away during summer: Doris Demillo, Mary Groleau and Nellie Tidswell. Reported on the sick list were Lois Goding and Norman Duguay. The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were read and accepted.

Thank you notes were read from Treat Memorial Library for the donation in memory of Doris Demillo and from Hospice House for the donation in memory of Nellie Tidswell. The 50/50 was won by Marguerite Richardson.
