Some questions about health care reform :
Who determines what the law will say and how much will be spent? Not our eloquent president. Congress alone has this power.
The plan that has passed the House does not include verification of legal status to recieve health insurance. What will the Senate and the President do? Will Congress enroll in the same health plan they enact for the public? Or, will they find a way to exempt themselves?
Having a serious recession, tax collections down, and a national debt of nearly $12 trillion, why is there a feverish push by President Obama and the Democrats to “reform” health care now, costing another trillion dollars (or more)? This timing questions the common sense judgment of the majority party. The interest alone on the 12 trillion (mostly to China and Arab countries) is now almost unaffordable. Our dollar is in danger of becoming worthless.
Have anyone seen the government eliminate waste and fraud to generate savings? New taxes are much easier.
What can the government plan do about those with preventable self-imposed health problems, such as drug addiction, alcoholism, smoking damage to lungs and circulation, and over-eating obesity?
Will there be rationing of care? What other countries do is not to supply enough doctors, hospitals, special medications and diagnostic equipment. They also have age limits and other restrictiions for eligibility for treatment. They all have discovered how much full national health care without restrictions really costs.
We are waiting, great wizards of Washington.
