Richard L. Menard

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Richard L. Menard, 74, a resident of Lisbon for five years, and a former longtime resident of Framingham, Mass., died Saturday, Sept. 19, after a long illness.

He was the beloved husband of 37 years of Irene E. (Adams) Menard of Lisbon, and Framingham, Mass. Born in Lewiston, he was a son of the late Alcide and Marion (Coulombe) Menard. Raised in Hartford, Conn., he was a U.S. Army veteran serving honorably from 1957 to 1963. He was self-employed in sales and ran his company, Menard Associates, for 25 years.

A longtime member of the Freemasons, he was a past master of Middlesex Lodge AF&AM, a Shriner and a member of the Scottish and York Bodies of Masonry.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Tracy Bellefleur and her children, Paul, Brittany and Michael, of Ware, Mass., Tawny Prentice and her husband, Paul, of North Lauderdale, Fla., and her children, Matthew Askin of Framingham and Tiffany Askin Bean and her husband, Bryan, of Tomball, Texas, Richard L. Menard, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Walpole, Mass., Bradley Menard of Palm Coast, Fla., and Jeffrey Menard of Gilbert, Ariz.; a sister, Constance Garneau of Florida; and a brother-in-law, Stephen Adams of Framingham, Mass.; an aunt; and several cousins in Maine.
