Craft fair
OXFORD — Oxford Congregational Church will host local crafters from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at the church, 252 King St. The facility is handicapped accessible and tables will be located upstairs and in the basement.
Items will include woodworking, paintings, cards, handwork, jams and jellies and crafts. The traditional white elephant sale will be held downstairs including flea market items, small tables, bureaus, antiques and kitchen items. There will be a bake sale table and a pie auction at 1 p.m. Luncheon items will be available starting at 11 a.m. and will include corn chowder, sandwiches, dessert and lobster stew. Coffee will be available all day.
Proceeds will help fund the recent conversion to the town water supply.
Bridge group
WATERFORD — The Waterford Library Bridge Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28. Meetings
are held on the fourth Monday of each month. No partner is necessary and beginning and experienced players are welcome. The group is informal and participants may learn from each other. For more information, call 583-2729.
Historical society
OXFORD — The
Oxford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Friday,
Sept. 25, at the Kay House Museum, Pleasant Street. Following a short business meeting,
Linda Hooker and Marilyn Jones will present a program on the Oxford
Spring House, followed by refreshments.
Bridge play
NORWAY — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Sept. 18 in the Fare Share Building, Main Street, where a four table Howell movement was played.
