Irene L. Morin
1920 – 2009
AUBURN — Irene L. Morin, 88, of Clover Living Center, passed away Saturday, Sept. 19.
She was born in Canada, Dec. 4, 1920, the daughter of the late Louis and Marie Samson Labrecque. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was a lifelong city resident.
She was married to Fernand J. Morin, Sept. 21, 1946, and he predeceased her Feb. 21, 1985.
She was a member of Holy Family Church, Ladies of St. Anne Sodality, Lewiston Senior Citizens and Holy Cross Senior Citizens. She enjoyed playing bingo, making crafts, traveling and camping at Brandy Pond Campground.
Survivors include two daughters, Rita Blais and husband, Robert, of Lewiston and Diane Guimond and husband, Raymond, of Tennessee; a son, Maurice Morin and wife, Jeanne, of Auburn; grandchildren include, Jennifer Arnold and husband, Tom, Katrina Denis and husband, Chad, Kris Guimond, Brandon Guimond and wife, Monica, Carrie Knol and husband, Ryan, Shelley Morin, Lee Morin and Allison Morin; two great-grandchildren, Dillan and Grace Knol; and her longtime companion, Bob Hamel.
She was the last remaining sibling of 15 children.
Her family sends a special thank-you to the entire staff at Clover Living Center and Clover Manor for the exceptional care, compassion and concern extended to Irene and her family.
