1921 – 2009
BRANFORD, Conn. — Marguerite J. Landry, 88, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 17, at Connecticut Hospice.
She was born in East Angus, Quebec, Canada, July 31, 1921, to Francis and Jeanne (Bilodeau) Descoteaux.
She attended St. John’s Parochial School and Stephens High School, Class of 1940 in Rumford. After graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper for a local business.
On Nov. 7, 1942, she married her high school boyfriend, Charles Maurice Landry; her family was her life and she enjoyed being a housewife and homemaker to her loving husband and four children.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are her daughter, Eileen of Madison, Conn.; her son, Wayne of Peru; her son, Gary and his wife, Susan, of Newburgh; her daughter, Karen and her husband, Peter Tesoriero, of Oxford, Conn.; and a granddaughter, Christine and her husband, Matthew Homa, of Amston, Conn.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Maurice; and a brother, Roland.
