Eight members of Zeta Chapter, with 50 other ladies from Alpha Psi
State of Maine Delta Kappa Gamma, attended the Northeast Conference in
Burlington Vt., from July 22 to 25. They attended seminars on topics
such as teaching literacy, dealing with stress, poetry activities, Web
site development, teaching global understanding and human rights and
technology in the classroom. Madelyn Linscott was recognized at the
celebration luncheon on July 23 for 51 years of membership. A
presidents and founders banquet was held on July 25, honoring the 22
Northeast Region State Presidents from the U.S., Canada and Puerto
Rico. Alpha Psi’s incoming president, Susan Stinchfield-Plaisted was
escorted into the banquet by outgoing president, Dr. Dottie Martin.
