CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The seventh annual Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Golf Open takes place Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Sugarloaf Golf Club.
This year’s event teams up with U.S. Olympic gold medalist Seth Wescott of Franklin County, so proceeds will help fund scholarships through the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund and Seth Wescott CVA Scholarship Fund.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and includes a dinner, awards, live music and more at The Rack. A traveling trophy is presented to the winning team.
Area businesses are sponsoring portions of the day, including a possible $25,000 hole in one contest provided by Shiretown Insurance, dinner/awards party held by Poland Spring, putting challenge by Camden National Bank, the course provided by Comfort Inn & Suites and carts sponsored by Franklin Savings Bank.
A team fee of $450 includes wind shirts, cart and greens fees, complimentary gift bag and door prizes.
