H. Gordon Howard
LEWISTON — Funeral services honoring the life of H. Gordon Howard were celebrated Monday at the Pinette and Lynch Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joseph Daniels presiding. During the service, Mr. Howard’s nephew, Bruce Goddard proclaimed the first reading. His Masonic brothers representing all three Masonic lodges in Auburn were also in attendance. After a procession to Mt. Hope Cemetery, the Rev. Daniels recited committal prayers, which was followed by a Masonic committal ritual. After prayers, the U.S. Army Honor Detail played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to his son, Kevin for services rendered by his father to his country during World War II. Pallbearers were Daniel Goff, Robert Shaw, Terry Badger, Richard and Steve Bragdon, as well as Tom Whalen. At the conclusion of services all were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston.
