Richard Alden Lothrop
1951 – 2009
LEWISTON — Richard A. Lothrop “Rick,” 58, of 6 Russell Ave., Auburn died Monday, Sept. 21, of injuries sustained in an August 26 motorcycle accident.
He was born in Lewiston and a graduate of Edward Little and CMVTI, Auburn, classes of 1969 and 1972. He had been a resident of Auburn for more than 30 years. He was sole proprietor of RichLo EPH&C, a mechanical contracting business specializing in electrical, plumbing, heating, and alternative energy systems.
An avid health enthusiast, he had a great passion for the outdoors and for his work. He supported various youth leagues with both time and finances and was active in many community activities. During his life, he donated time and materials to The Habitat for Humanity and financing to the Maine Special Olympics.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 33 years, Patricia; his three sons, Joshua, Christopher and Patrick; four grandchildren; his mother, Maxine Hinkley; and eight siblings.
