JAY — Classmates and guests attended the Livermore Falls High School Class of 1949 reunion at LaFleur’s Restaurant on July 18.
Winnie Shink and Meredith Dalessandro donated the decorations,
including balloons and floral arrangements. Much interest was shown in
the photos and other mementos that were brought by classmates. A group
photo was taken before the group sat down for their meal.
Meredith Dalessandro offered a prayer before the luncheon.
Afterward, she read the names of the 42 deceased classmates and brought
back memories of their school days, recalling the names of many
teachers, which prompted anecdotes about their classes.
Winnie Shink gave a financial report and contributions to the LFHS Alumni Scholarship Fund for $490 were received.
Suzanne Fournier Hedrick prepared a “Musical Journey 1945 – 1949,”
listing popular songs of the era, then led the group in singing
“Sentimental Journey” from 1945 and the “Class Ode” from 1949.
In attendance were Effie Forbes Waite, Celine Paradis Wells, Richard and Beverly
LaPointe, Margaret Riggs Knight, John and Edna McKenney, Lorraine
