An ‘Uplifting’ return
Rock band 311 will return to Portland’s Cumberland County Civic Center on Nov. 25, with State Radio and Sidecar Radio as special guests. In early June, 311 released its latest CD, “Uplifter,” the band’s first studio record in three years. As the title suggests, the album is an uplifting collection of 311’s trademark blend of rock and reggae, elevated by inspired songwriting and musicianship and big anthemic choruses. Since its inception in 2004, 311’s annual summer headlining amphitheater run, “Unity Tour,” has become one of the largest annual modern rock tours of the summer. Tickets, $39.50, are for general admission, all ages. Tickets go on sale at noon Friday, Sept. 25, and will be available at the civic center, by calling 775-3458 and online at www.ticketmaster.com and www.livenation.com.
