Lobster feed

DIXFIELD — There will be a lobster feed on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Dixfield Legion sponsored by the Neighborly Senior Citizens. The meal will consist of two lobsters, or chicken or rib eye steak; two pounds of clams or mussels and two ears of corn at a cost of $19.95 each person. Salad and dessert will be available. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with the meal being served at noon. The meal is available to the public. Sign up deadline is Sunday, Sept. 27. Daughters of Isabella

RUMFORD —
The Daughters of Isabella Circle 677 held their monthly social on Sept. 23 at the St. Rose Parish hall. The evening began at 6:30 p.m. with a meal. After the meal, those who signed up to make theme baskets started putting the baskets together. Among the themes for the baskets are Christmas, Halloween, chocolate, angel, baby, garden and kitchen.

Tickets for the baskets are $1 for one or $5 for six and will be sold at the fall bazaar, to be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, in the parish hall. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. The baskets will be raffled off during the bazaar. Members who were not involved with the theme baskets decorated coffee cans for the cookie walk, also to be held at the bazaar.

Public supper

RUMFORD — The Rumford United Methodist Church will have a public supper on Saturday, Oct. 3, with one serving at 5 p.m.

Community lunch

MEXICO — The GRAMPS Community Lunch will serve the Wednesday free meal at 11:30 a.m. beginning Oct. 7. The meal is served at the Mexico Town Hall and is open to the public at no charge.
