Fall foliage colors along Route 140 in Canton on Thursday afternoon, are becoming more intense as peak color nears. On Wednesday, state forest rangers reported seeing a color change of 10 to 30 percent in the western mountains region from Bethel to Rangeley, according to a report on the state foliage Web site at www.mainefoliage.com.
