Modern Woodmen District Manager Dick Courtemanche, left, presents a check to Museum L-A Executive Director Rachel Desgrosseilliers, right. Members of the Lewiston Modern Woodmen of America camp helped raise money for Museum L-A by sponsoring Echoes in Time. For the event, held on May 30, Modern Woodmen raised $7,671, including $2,500 matched by Modern Woodmen’s home office through the organization’s Matching Funds program, which offers members nationwide the chance to show their
support of a community cause, organization or individual in need by
partnering with community organizations and holding fundraisers. The money will be used for programs and exhibits. Founded in 1883 as a fraternal benefit society, Modern Woodmen of America offers financial services and fraternal member benefits to individuals and families throughout the United States. The organization’s Lewiston camp provides a number of volunteer service and social activities for local members.
