MECHANIC FALLS — Pumpkin Land, a popular fall attraction originally located at Chipman Farm in Poland, has moved to a new location under new ownership at Harvest Hill Farms on Route 26 in Mechanic Falls, and opens Saturday, Sept. 26.

After about 15 years of growth, owners Doug and Elaine Chipman decided to turn the operation over to Peter and Kathie Bolduc, owners of Harvest Hill Farms, to continue and expand the monthlong Pumpkin Land.

All of the favorite activities will still be offered and more. The Bolducs are planning a new Country Farm Market at the new location — 125 Pigeon Hill Road (Route 26) — and will again host their Corn Maze Experience. Last year’s pirate theme was enjoyed by thousands. This year’s theme will be Halloween.

Harvest Hill Farms started as a small operation to supply family and
friends with home-grown beef. The response was so great the Bolducs decided to build a market to supply neighbors with natural, range-fed meats and vegetables. What started out
as a casual backyard hobby 15 years ago has expanded into a year-round,
seven-day-a-week business.
