LISBON – Marcus Bubar and Tyler Dupal took turns knocking in goals as Lisbon walked all over Carrabec with a 9-0 victory in a boys’ soccer game Saturday.
Bubar and Dupal each earned a hat trick, with teammates Zack Turner, Phil Carville and Brady Fenderson each scoring a goal. Bubar and Fenderson also earned assists, and Carville chalked up two.
The Greyhounds (5-3) dominated the first half and opened up a 4-0 lead by halftime. Lisbon, which outshout the winless Cobras (0-7), 41-1, piled up five more goals in the second half. Lisbon goalie Ethan Audie had a quiet afternoon in net, making just one save.
Cape Elizabeth 4, Poland 1
POLAND – Harper Nelson scored two goals to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 4-1 WMC boys’ soccer victory over Poland on Saturday.
The Capers took command with three first-half goals. Also scoring goals were Nick Breed and Andy Lynch.
Rick Griffiths scored Poland’s goal off a corner kick early in the second half.
Mike Littlefield made 19 saves for the Knights (0-6), while Jack Fisher had three stops for the Capers.
Hebron 2, Proctor 1
HEBRON – Tommy Cummings notched the game-winning goal as Hebron tipped Proctor Academy 2-1 in boys’ soccer action Saturday afternoon.
Down by one at the half, the Lumberjacks (2-0) controlled much of the play in the second period. Vlad Gavrik scored the tying goal at the 59 minute mark on a feed from Evan Richardson.
Goalie Geoff Bowen had a solid game in net, recording nine saves for Hebron.
