Sylvia E. Thibodeau

1923 – 2009

RUMFORD – Sylvia E. Thibodeau, 86, of Knox Street, died Saturday, Sept. 26, at Rumford Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Orland, on May 4, 1923, a daughter of Franklin B. and Frances J. (Gray) Cunningham.
Sylvia was educated in Bucksport Schools. She was employed for 47 years with Diamond International, and also ran a popular club for 47 years.

Sylvia was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior. She loved to camp with her husband at Canton Lake.

Surviving are a son, Gerard A Thibodeau and wife, Cheryl, of Presque Isle; twin grandchildren, Erika Smith and Rebecca Jamieson; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Johanna Smith.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, William A. Thibodeau; two sisters, Doris Cole and Florice Gerow; and a brother, Lawrence Cunningham.
