Question One seems to be all about semantics.
If you call a hamburger “Salisbury steak,” does it taste better?
If you say you are “traveling to the tropics,” is that more glamorous than visiting relatives in Florida?
If you call a teacher an “educator,” does it make him smarter?
Will a couple be happier if their relationship is called “marriage” instead of “civil union”?
Although I don’t know much about the issue, I thought the civil union was meant to ensure fairness to same-sex couples. What will be gained by changing the law as it was?
