AUBURN — “Leave It To Beaver” star Jerry Mathers appears in Auburn Wednesday morning promoting a program to help people get free or cheaper drugs.

Mathers, a child star from television show, which aired from 1957 to 1963, talked about his experience with diabetes, the importance of prevention and taking medicine for chronic illnesses.

Behind him was the big orange bus with professionals to help people apply for Prescription Assistance Programs to get free or nearly free medicine.

Meanwhile, people met with health providers offer free, personal health advice.

The health fair continues today until 2 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Auburn City Building.
