Birdie Googans

NORWAY — Members and friends of the Second Congregational Church, U.C.C., 205 Main St., are preparing for the return of Birdie Googans, a.k.a the Marden’s Lady, on Saturday, Nov. 7. Mary Gatchell, chairwoman of the entertainment committee said, “We’ve recovered from her visit last November. With her small town wit and humor, she and her sisters revisited their childhood, growing up as the daughters of the minister of the Second Congregational Church. There were hilarious stories of Easter jelly beans in hymnals and Barbie dolls in the belfry. We can’t wait to hear about her other adventures.”
