LIVERMORE — Drivers planning to take Norlands Road to go to the Washburn-Norlands Living History Center are encouraged to take Waters Hill Road, off Route 4, during road reconstruction, when approaching from the south.
The road improvement project has started and only local traffic is being let through.
“People are not slowing down for construction,” select board Administrative Assistant Kurt Schaub said.
Road workers are “trying to get some of the traffic off the road,” he said.
The road may be temporarily closed when cross-culvert work is being done, Schaub said.
C.H. Stevenson Inc. of Wayne won the contract for the project that entails about 9,000 feet of the road.
