WINTHROP — Ashley Beaulieu scored her 19th goal of the season and earned an assist as Lisbon (7-2) jumped out to a three-goal lead in the first half, dropping Winthrop (3-4-1) with a 3-1 victory in a girls’ soccer game Wednesday.

Beaulieu is just four assists away from setting the school record. Teammates Brooke Lawrence and Kayla Angelico each scored goals, with assists going to Lawrence and Renee Moore.

Winthrop spoiled Lisbon goalie Kyrstin Ramich’s would-be shutout when Elaine Theriault scored unassisted in the second half.

Winslow 5, Rockland 0

WINSLOW — Kim Curtis scored two goals as undefeated Winslow (10-0) took a four-goal lead in the first half and then went on to shut out Rockland 5-0 in a girls’ soccer game Wednesday.

Alliyah Veilleux, Jordyn Mallett and Lindsey Vigue each scored a goal, with goalie Jessica Gordorn earning the shutout.

Falmouth 5, Gray-NG 0

FALMOUTH — Abby Cavalero scored notched a pair of goals and an assist
as Falmouth blanked Gray-New Gloucester, 5-0, in girls’ soccer action
Wednesday.

Allie Lycan, Katie Vogt and Jess L’Hereux scored the other goals for
the Yachtsmen (6-0-2). Elizabeth Estabrook needed to make just two
saves in net for Falmouth. Taylor Damon tallied 21 saves for the
Patriots (1-7-0).

Field Hockey

Dirigo 4, Hall-Dale 3

FARMINGDALE — Trina Pulk found the net with three minutes left in regulation to lift Dirigo to a 4-3 victory over Hall-Dale in a hotly-contested MVC field hockey matchup Wednesday.

Pulk led the Cougars (5-6) with a hat trick, while Morgan Hutchins scored a goal and added an assist. Amber Woods made nine saves for Dirigo to notch the win.

Dakota Mitchell led the Bulldogs with a pair of goals, while Jess Woods also tallied. Kayla Barton turned back 11 shots between the posts for Hall-Dale.  

Brewster 3, Hebron 0

HEBRON — Catherine LaBoeuf led a trio of players to register goals as Brewster Academy rolled over Hebron 3-0 in a prep school field hockey matchup Wednesday.

Leigh Hofmeister and Jen O’Malley also tallied for Brewster (2-0) to complete the scoring. Molly friedman needed only four saves to preserve the shutout. Lauren Yomantas turned aside 16 shots between the posts for Hebron (0-1).

Hebron 2, Hyde 2

BATH — The Hebron and Hyde girls’ soccer squads battled up and down the field, but came away with a 2-2 tie in an evenly-matched prep school contest Wednesday.

Emma Leavitt and Sarah Markey each scored for Hebron (3-0-1), while Hyde received two goals from Kelsey Campbell. Hyde opened the scoring midway through the first period, but the Lumberjacks answered just two minutes later when Leavitt made it 1-1. Markey broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the second frame to put Hebron up 2-1.

Hyde evened the tally midway through the period to knot it up at 2-2. Janelle Bradish made four saves in net for Hebron. 

Hall-Dale 10, Boothbay 0

FARMINGDALE — Teresa Withee and Carylanne Wolfington netted two goals each to lead Hall-Dale to a 10-0 romp over Boothbay in MVC girl’s soccer action Wednesday.

Aimee Pelletier, Taylor Masey, Paley Sweet, Meg Barton, Meg Cousins and Sara Price also tallied for the Bulldogs (8-0-1) to complete the scoring. Anna Levesque needed only three saves to notch the shutout. 

St. Dom’s 3,  Mt. Abram 0

TOPSHAM — Stephanie Costello netted a pair of goals to lead St. Dom’s to a 3-0 victory over Mt. Abram in a WMC girl’s soccer tilt Wednesday.

Alexandra Landry also tallied for the Saints (8-0-2) to complete the scoring. Elise Applegate needed only two saves to preserve the shutout. Jillian Withee turned back six shots in net for Mt. Abram (4-4-2).

Dirigo 3, Madison 0

MADISON — Natalie Bolduc netted a pair of goals in  the first half to lead Dirigo to a 3-0 victory over Madison in a girls’ soccer matchup Wednesday.

Emily Chase also contributed for the Cougars (4-5) with a goal and one assist. Natasha Deroche stopped all 16 shots fired her way to notch the shutout. Emily Berry turned aside five shots in net for Madison (1-7-1).
