AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College is offering “Introduction to QuickBooks” from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 15 through Nov. 19. The cost of the class is $275 and includes the textbook.

QuickBooks is the one of the most popular small-business computer accounting packages available. In the class, participants will learn how to set up an accounting system for a company, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, create invoices, bill customers, print checks and create financial statements. A basic understanding of Windows is recommended.

The class will be taught by Caroline Jordan. Jordan has owned several businesses and started her business, The Jordan Result, after completing her MBA in 2000. She is an adjunct instructor at Central Maine Community College, teaching business and accounting, and is the author of two books.
