Simone Y. Bouchard
1912 – 2009
AUBURN — Simone Y. Bouchard, 96, formerly of 156 Main St., Roak Block, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, at her residence at the Odd Fellows and Rebekah’s Home.
She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 9, 1912, the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Laflamme Larochelle. She was educated in Auburn schools and prior to her retirement in 1974 was employed at Bel-Moc Shoe.
She was married to Emile Soucy in 1937, he predeceased her in 1959. She later married Nelson Bouchard May 6, 1967, he died June 16, 1967.
She was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church and enjoyed cooking, singing, knitting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by three grandsons, Donald Obie of Lewiston, Dennis Obie and wife, Patricia, of Avon, Conn., and Daniel Obie and wife, Rene, of St. Clair, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Rita Marquis of Auburn; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her only daughter, Joline Obie on Dec. 29, 1987.
