SUMNER — Farmers from five local farms will be available at the Sumner Town Office on Saturday to visit with and answer questions, according to Marti Elkin from A Wrinkle in Thyme farm.
Elkin along with representatives from Morrill, Heath Hill, Kids Hillbilly and other farms will be present with some of their animals for children to pet. There will be a donkey, rabbit, cow and dog. There will also be rabbits for sale.
Organic farmers will talk to people about what is best to plant and how and when to plant next year. They will also answer questions on what animals are best to have on your farm.
Farmers are hoping to interest more people in organic farming and see what interest the town has in having a farmers market in Sumner next year.
They will be present at the Town Hall from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday.
