Susan E. Barnett, formerly of Auburn, graduated magna cum laude from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May with the doctor of veterinary medicine degree. Barnett holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and is a 1998 graduate of North Yarmouth Academy.

She is currently performing an internship at the New England Equine Medical & Surgical Center in Dover, N.H. She is the daughter of James and Lillian Barnett of Auburn.
