Joyce C. Croteau
1948 – 2009

AUBURN —  Joyce C. Croteau, 61, of Lewiston, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin.

She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 9, 1948, the daughter of Gerard Sr. and Florence (Pelletier) Pelletier. She attended local schools, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1966. On Sept. 26, 1970, she married Richard Croteau.

She worked at the Roux Agency in Lewiston (thank you to Dan and the Rouxettes for everything). She enjoyed dancing, shopping sprees with her brother, Gerry and vacation trips with her daughter. Most of all, she treasured spending time with her family and friends.

She loved her children above all and cherished times spent with them, especially her precious grandchildren in the past two years. “J” truly was an extraordinary mother, memere, daughter, sister and friend.

She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca and her husband, Matt; a son, Jeff and his wife, Christina; their sons, Sebastien and Vincent; her parents; brothers, Gerard Pelletier Jr., Gary Pelletier and his wife, Joline and John Pelletier and his wife, Heidi; a sister, Geraldine Poulin and her husband, Paul; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.

She was predeceased by her former husband last August; and a sister, Gale Pelletier Brabant.

Many thanks to the staff at the Hospice House and Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, New England Life Care, MMC and CMMC Oncology. Special thanks to Gary Marshall and Maurice Morin.
