Joshua Polgar and Renee Lavoie

LEWISTON — Dan and Shari Lavoie of Lewiston are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Renee Michelle Lavoie of Lakewood, Colo., to Joshua Elliot Polgar of Lakewood, Colo., son of Dr. Theodore and Carol Polgar of Rutland, Vt.

Miss Lavoie is a graduate of Lewiston High School, class of 2001. She graduated in 2005 from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. In May of 2009 she graduated from the University of Colorado, Denver, with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed as an RN at the Children’s Hospital, Denver, in the float pool. She is the granddaughter of Joseph and Glorianne Travaglini of Lewiston and Lionel and Rita Lavoie of Lewiston.

Mr. Polgar graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management. He is employed at Buffalo Run Golf Course in Commerce City, Colo., as a food and beverage director.

The wedding is set for Oct. 9 at Golden, Colo., at the historic Boettcher Mansion at 5 p.m.
