Marsha Dufour, a student at Elm Street School in Mechanic Falls, has
been named Student of the Month by the Tri-Town Optimists of Mechanic
Falls, Minot and Poland. She is pictured with Principal Mary Martin,
left, and Marylin Newell, president of the club. The Tri-Town Optimist
Club, which is affiliated with Optimist International, is one of the
world’s largest and most active service club organizations. The club
works on projects to benefit area youth and the community. For
