Authorities in Cumberland County have no idea why a woman
lost control of her car and landed in Long Lake Saturday night.
According to the WGME-13 Web site, she lost control of her vehicle at
the boat launch just off Main Street in Harrison shortly before 8 p.m.
After driving 50 feet into the water, she was able to get out and call
for help. Divers attached a line to the car to haul it out of the water
using a tow truck. The woman was not injured, and no charges were
filed.
