The school was built with money invested in war bonds during World War II and was dedicated in honor of Waterford’s veterans by Dr. Roswell Hubbard in the fall of 1949. It consolidated the pupils from many one- and two-room rural Waterford schools.

A major renovation and additions to the school were made in 1994. There will be pictures and other artifacts to see, as well as recollections of former principals, the late Dorothy Scribner and Tony Waldeier.

Participants will also listen to author Jane
