CANTON – Clara MacIsaac Thibault
remembers the great times she had driving her first car, a 1929
Packard.

On Oct. 8, she will be 100 years old
and she’d love to have a chance to ride around Canton in another 1929
Packard.

Shelly Harlow, director of Victorian
Villa where Thibault has resided since July 2000, is looking for
someone who would be willing to provide that ride for Thibault on Thursday around 2 p.m.

“We try to do something very big for
those turning 100,” Harlow said. In the past, a garden was planted
for one of the residents, who died just short of his 100th
birthday.

According to information provided by
Victorian Villa, Thibault was born on Cape Breton Island, Nova
Scotia, lived in Boston, then married Felix Thibault who has roots in
the Rumford area. He is now deceased. She had lived in Rumford for
many years before moving to the nursing home.

Thibault is an avid Red Sox and
Patriots fan.

Harlow said Thibault’s favorite food,
scallops wrapped in bacon, will be served on her birthday.

Anyone who would provide a ride for
Thibault in a 1929 Packard is asked to call Harlow at
597-2510, ext. 181.
