WALES – Ben Daggett took a nice cross from Brian Soucy and booted it into the net with 11:28 left in regulation as Oak Hill handed Mt. View its first loss of the season, 3-2, in a KVAC boys’ soccer tilt Tuesday.

Daggett led the Raiders (9-3) with two goals, while Cody Fortier also tallied. Zack Linette and Adam Soucy also contributed with assists for Oak Hill. Cody Plourde made nine saves in net to notch the win.

Aike Dominiak and Justin Pierel scored for the Mustangs (10-1-1), while Nick Knight turned aside nine shots between the posts.

Leavitt 2, Rockland 0

TURNER – Mason White and Ethan Hibler each scored a goal Tuesday as Leavitt pulled out a 2-0 victory over Rockland in KVAC boys’ soccer action.

White took a cross from Elliott Wiegman and fired it toward Rockland keeper Gentry Burch, only to have it bounce off his knee and come right back at him. White quickly snagged the rebound and this time drilled it past Burch to give the Hornets (1-11) a 1-0 advantage. White then made a nice pass to Hibler who sent a shot past Burch’s right side with 10 minutes left in regulation. This was Leavitt’s first win of 2009 and it came at the right time.

Cooper Legee made seven saves in net for Leavitt to notch the shutout, while Burch also finished with seven saves on the day. 

Lisbon 7, Monmouth 0

LISBON – Marcus Bubar recorded a hat trick Tuesday to lead Lisbon to a 7-0 rout over Monmouth in a MVC boys’ soccer matchup. 

Tyler Dupal chipped in for the Greyhounds (7-4) with two goals, while single tallies by Ryan Fairbanks and Mason Smith completed the scoring. Ethan Brewer played a strong game on defense for Lisbon, while Ethan Audi made six saves to notch the shutout. 

Erskine 3, Edward Little 1

SOUTH CHINA – Jacob Miller notched the eventual game-winner as Erskine hustled to a 3-1 victory over Edward Little in KVAC boys’ soccer action Tuesday.

The Eagles (6-2-2) were attentive to picking up loose balls and getting inside the box to score three times in the first half. Everett Fowle scored the opening goal and Ryan Hall added the safety for Erskine Academy.

Brandon Lever scored the lone Red Eddies’ (6-2-2) goal.

Goalie Ian Dollen-Oliveto made two saves for Edward Little, while goalie Brian Potter had several outstanding saves in a set of nine to earn the win in net for Erskine Academy.

Mt. Abram 5, Carrabec 0

NORTH ANSON – Jim Barker punched in a pair of goals and earned an assist as Mt. Abram made quick work of Carrabec.

The Roadrunners (6-4) took a two-goal lead in the first half. Mt. Abram’s Ian Daly scored first without any assistance and Kenny Moir followed on Barker feed in the first half. In the second half, Barker scored on a Moir assist and Parker Kennedy got one on Lampron’s first of two assists.

Mt. Abram outshot Carrabec, 14-3, and goalie Josh Beedy had a light day in net, making just two saves.
