During training exercises on Tuesday morning in Rumford across from the Hannaford grocery store, members of the South Portland Police Special Reaction or “tactical” Team enter a vacant, three-story apartment building at 438 Waldo St. Rumford Police officers also participated in the training on the town property. The tactical team is used to stabilize and resolve high-risk calls.
