AUBURN — Carole Wise, a member of the Edward Little High School staff, has been awarded the Advocates for Children 2009 Community Service Award for her commitment to young people in the community. She was honored during a recent staff meeting at the high school for her outstanding efforts in the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
This is the 17th year the agency has recognized members of the community for their efforts on behalf of children and youth. Wise was nominated by coworker, Jacqueline Misenheimer.
Advocates for Children board chairman Richard Bois said, “We applaud the significant effort and commitment she gives to each student with whom she works, to make sure their needs in all aspects of their lives are met. She is caring, committed, resourceful and an advocate for her students.”
