Luncheon

FARMINGTON — The Old South First Congregational Church will serve
its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1
p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. The menu for this month includes beef stew over noodles and apple
crisp.

Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. To arrange delivery, call the
church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at
778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon.

Rick Charette

WILTON — The Academy Hill School Girls Talk Program will sponsor a
Rick Charette concert at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Mt. Blue High
School.

Charette is well known for his songs like “Alligator In the Elevator” and “Mud.”

The Academy Hill Girls Talk Program is a literacy based mentoring
program for fifth and sixth grade girls. It is supported entirely
through fundraising and donations. The group hopes to help pay for an
AED for the school with the proceeds from this concert.

Ticket are $8 in advance and $10 at the door and can be purchased at
Academy Hill and Cushing Schools in Wilton, Shelly’s Home Town Market
in East Wilton, Tranten’s Markets in Farmington and Kingfield, Madore
Market in West Farmington, or by calling 645-4488
