AUBURN – Jackson Erickson tipped his hat with three goals and picked up an assist along the way, steering undefeated St. Dom’s (12-0) to a 5-1 victory over Lisbon in a boys’ soccer game Friday.

The Saints spotted themselves a 3-0 lead in the first half and tacked on two more in the second. Alex Parker and Trevar Haefele each scored a goal, with Parker also earning two assists. Jameson Peterson and Garrett Darnell each earned an assist.

Brady Fenderson took a Tyler Dupal feed and scored the Greyhounds’ lone goal in the second half. The Saints dominated the entire game, outshooting Lisbon, 22-5.

Livermore Falls 6, Carrabec 1

LIVERMORE Falls – Kyle Whittemore and Tom Ventrella scored three goals as Livermore Falls (7-3-1) dismissed Carrabec with a 6-1 victory.

The Andies (7-3-1) scored three goals in each half. Whittemore also collected a pair of assists and Ventrella got one.

For the winless Cobras (0-12), Morgan Taylor scored an unassisted goal in the first half. Livermore Falls outshot Carrabec, 19-9.

Mt. Abram 2, Mountain Valley 1

SALEM – Senior striker Ian Daly scored the eventual game-winning goal and an assist to lift Mt. Abram to a 2-1 victory over Mountain Valley in MVC boys’ soccer action Friday.

The Falcons (6-5-1) opened up the scoring when Dylan Mawhinney converted a relay from Luiz Ristow at the 35:07 mark of the first half.

Caulin Logan tied the game for the Roadrunners (7-4) on a relay from Daly just minutes before intermission.

Goalie Josh Beedy made many key saves to preserve the win in net for Mt. Abram, while goalie Kyle Gauvin turned back nine for Mountain Valley.

Field hockey

Telstar 9, Dirigo 0

DIXFIELD – Amanda Wiley punched in four goals and T.J. Cowen dropped in another two as Telstar sideswiped Dirigo, 9-0, in a field hockey game.

The undefeated Rebels (14-0) wasted little time overpowering the Cougars when Telstar scored six goals in the first half against the Cougars (6-8). Victoria Sorkus, Katie Summer and Marian Bundy each scored. Summer and Cowen also earned assists.

Telstar dominated the field and outshot Dirigo, 9-0.

Lisbon 7, Georges Valley 2

LISBON – Lyndsey Whitney notched a pair of goals as Lisbon dahsed to a 7-2 victory over Georges Valley.

The Greyhounds (6-8) jumped out to a 4-0 halftime lead. Meghan Craig scored the first goal of the game, while Ali Fitzgerald scored the third tally and added an assist in the second half. Senior Kelsey Piche scored her first goal of the season to put Lisbon up 5-0 early in the second stanza.

Brooke Fournier posted a pair of goals for the Buccaneers (1-13), both in the second frame.

Goalie Breanna Bodman made 21 saves for Georges Valley, while goalie Kristi Bolduc turned back 15 for Lisbon in the winning effort.

Girls’ soccer

Mt. Blue 9, Brewer 0

FARMINGTON – Chelsea Thompson and Marlie Mochamer scored two goals apiece within a five-goal first 18-minute effort by the Cougars as Mt. Blue steamrolled to a 9-0 victory over Brewer.

The Cougars (5-4-2) took an 8-1 lead into the midpoint. Marina West scored the lone goal of the second half for Mt. Blue.

Goalie Missy Thompson made 11 saves for the Witches 2-9, while Emily Deane and Allison Brown shared keeper duties for Mt. Blue with three combined saves.

Football

Old Orchard 22, Jay 18

OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Old Orchard beach scored a touchdown with 1:30 remaining to rally for a 22-18 victory over Jay on Friday.

The Tigers led 18-8 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Jordan DiMillo rush for more than 100 yards and two touchdowns of 36 and 1 yards for the Tigers. Austin Clark also scored on a 5-yard run.

Old Orchard quarterback Dean Perrone completed 10 of 16 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns.
