At Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care’s River Street Center, volunteers Lisa St. Hilaire-Crites, Johanna Lloyd, Mariah Robinson and Marion Pilote painted, rototilled and cleaned the playground. Volunteering to paint climbing equipment and clean the playground at the Hillview Resource Center were Terri Cook, Donny Hinkley, Deb Decker, Nicole Morissette and Bonnie Jo Carr. At the Coburn School, Van Perry, Deborah Parent and Stephanie Thurlow painted a large handicap accessible ramp.

Estelle Rubinstein, executive director of Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care, said “We opened our programs this week knowing that our playgrounds were safe from debris, with shiny new climbing domes and decks to play on. On behalf of the children, thank you.”
