LIVERMORE FALLS — The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Oct. 5 with 23 people and one guest present.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with prayer, a salute to the flag and a moment of silence for deceased members and for the men and women in the Armed Forces.

It was reported that Lois Gordon is at Sandy River Nursing Home. She would like members to drop in and visit her when they are in the Farmington area. Couture said that Gordon is on a waiting list to be transferred to Clover Manor in Auburn, where her husband is.

It was announced that next week, Kim Cote will entertain the seniors.

Upcoming events include a Chinese auction on Monday, Oct. 19 and a Halloween party on Monday, Oct. 26th. The 50/50 was won by Frances Therrien and the door prize, a Halloween plaque, was won by Diane Getz. The treasurer’s report was read and accepted.
