Oak Hill 2, MCI 1

WALES — Rebecca Belaire took a cross from Amanda Bloss with 29 minutes left in regulation to lift Oak Hill to a 2-1 victory over MCI in a KVAC girls’ soccer tilt Wednesday.

Ashley Ketchin gave MCI (4-8-1) a 1-0 advantage early in the first frame. The Raiders (4-7-2) answered when Belaire took a cross from Marissa Caskin and fired it into the net with three minutes left before halftime. 

With just 1:30 left to play, MCI had a chance to tie the contest, but Oak Hill keeper Maggie Sabine deflected the shot. Sabine finished with four saves to record the win. Brittany Glencross turned back 12 shots in net for MCI. 

St. Dom’s 5, Mountain Valley 0

RUMFORD — Sophie Goulet netted a pair of goals to propel St. Dom’s to a 5-0 victory over Mountain Valley in another local girls’ soccer matchup Wednesday.

Alex Landry, Ali Desjardin and Kaitlin Cornelio also tallied for the Saints (10-0-2) to complete the scoring. Elise Applegate made seven saves for St. Dom’s to record the shutout. Caitlin Armstrong turned back 11 shots between the posts for Mountain Valley.

Mt. Ararat 4, Lewiston 0

TOPSHAM — Randi London led a four-goal explosion in the first frame as Mt. Ararat rolled to a 4-0 victory over Lewiston in girls’ soccer action Wednesday.

London led the Eagles with two goals, while Brie Martin and Jaymee Wallace also tallied to complete the scoring. Shauna Williams made seven saves in net to notch the shutout.

Beth Lebel (19 saves) and Macenzie Maselli (two saves) split time between the posts for Lewiston.

Field hockey

New Hampton 1, Hebron 0

NEW NAMPTON, N.H. — Reiva Keith broke a scoreless tie with 4:02 left in regulation to lift New Hampton School to a 1-0 field hockey win over Hebron Wednesday.

Hebron goalie Lauren Yomantas had eight saves on nine shots while Vanessa Campbell stopped two Hebron shots in goal.
