Christine S. Mulvaney
1955 – 2009
RUMFORD — Christine S. Mulvaney, 54, of Maple Street, Andover, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Rumford Hospital, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Portsmouth, Va., May 5, 1955, a daughter of Harold L. and Joyce C. (Schenck) Frazier. She graduated from Telstar High School, Class of 1973. She later attended the University of Maine at Augusta in Mexico.
She lived in Italy for 2 years.
She moved to Virginia, where she met her husband James, and together they have celebrated 23 years of life together.
In 1996, they moved back to the Andover area, where she was involved with the Andover Library and founded several children’s programs.
She loved life to the fullest and enjoyed gardening, animals, crafts, photography and cooking. Her latest love was art, and she was very involved with the Penacook Art Center.
She will be remembered as a very loving, caring and generous person who was always thinking of others.
To those of you who could not see her as you wish now; she knew your concerns, she knew your lives, and she knew all of you, and everyone by heart – not to worry.
Surviving are her husband, James J.M. Mulvaney of Andover; her mother, Joyce C. Frazier of Andover; a son, David A. Jacques and wife, Rebecca, of Virginia; a sister, Carolyn M. McDonough of Berwick; a brother, Howard L. Frazier and wife, Chris, of Lisbon Falls; three grandchildren, Nicholas Jacques, Nathan Jacques and Alexander Jacques; two nieces, Shannon Frazier and Kasey McDonough; and four nephews, Hank Frazier, Pete Frazier, Darrik Frazier and Keagan McDonough.
She was predeceased by her father, Harold L. Frazier; and a brother, Dean R. Frazier.
