Arthur Alexander Hechtl
1937 – 2009

LISBON — Arthur Hechtl, 72, of Lisbon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7.

He was born Jan. 22, 1937, in Lewiston, a son of the late Alexander and Marjorie (Jordan) Hechtl. He was lovingly known as “brother” to many and as “uncle” to his nieces and nephews.

He was a gentle and caring man who loved his many pets. Most recently, his dog, Tyson was with him and he cared for a neighbor’s dog.

Those surviving include his brothers, Richard (Elaine) of New Boston, N.H., and Mark of Moreno Valley, Calif.; five nieces and nephews, Patty (Dennis) Kilar, Tina (John) Langley, Eric (Kim) Hechtl, Cheryl (Jay) Lowery and Christopher Hechtl; 13 great-nephews and nieces; and many cousins.

The family wishes to thank all of the friends and neighbors who cared for and befriended him.
