LEWISTON — The YWCA of Central Maine will offer a beading class for women and girls as part of their Generations programming. The class will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24. The session costs $20 for adult YWCA members and $25 for adult nonmembers; $10 for child YWCA members and $12 for child nonmembers. The cost includes all materials and instruction.

The class will take place in the Vachon Meeting Room at the YWCA, 130 East Ave. The class will be taught by PJ Mottram.

The beading class is designed especially for all generations of women to come and learn the basics of beading. Daughters, mothers, sisters, nieces, grandmothers or friends will create matching bracelets with the adult “Powdered Sugar” and child’s “Spoonful of Sugar” beading sets. The sets feature round silver and stardust beads. Children’s bracelets are made using memory wire for easy wearing. Girls ages 4 and above are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Limited space is available. Those attending should request the number of child and adult bracelet kits needed upon registration. Register by calling Kayt DeMerchant, director of marketing and hallmark programming at YWCA of Central Maine at 795-4050 or via e-mail at kaytdemerchant@gmail.com.
