Gabriel and Cecile Giguere

LEWISTON — Gabriel and Cecile Giguere of Lewiston recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married July 2, 1949, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.

They have five children, Gabriel Jr. and wife, Kathy, Doris and husband, Stephen Comeau, Robert and wife, Diane, Daniel and wife, Penni, and Richard and partner, Kathleen Burns. They have eight grandchildren, Tania Giguere, Gabriel Giguere, III, Stacey Bashaw, Jeffery Comeau, Shawn Giguere, Jason Giguere, Lucas Giguere and Cassie Giguere. They now have three great-grandchildren, Aubrianna Giguere, Brayden Bashaw and Haley Giguere.

A surprise celebration was held at the home of their daughter and son-in-law in Auburn on June 28. Several relatives and friends attended this very special occasion.
