LEWISTON — The number of reported H1N1 flu cases at Bates College continues to rise, with 254 cases as of Monday afternoon, according to a college representative.
There were 208 reported cases on Friday.
Bryan McNulty, a spokesman for Bates, said there have not been any changes in how the college is dealing with the outbreak, which has included isolating sick students from the general population.
More than 1,000 of the college’s roughly 1,720 students have been vaccinated against H1N1. McNulty said campus activities have not been disrupted by the outbreak. In order to avoid a further outbreak, the Lewiston and Auburn school departments temporarily stopped Bates students from working in the public schools.
