LEWISTON — In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, St. Mary’s Health System will sponsor a presentation of its Celebrate Health series focused on the disease.
Dr. Marsha O’Rourke, medical director of St. Mary’s Breast Health Program, will discuss the challenges breast cancer patients and their health care providers face, along with medical advances in detection and treatment methods. O’Rourke has been a practicing surgeon in Maine since 1985. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Cancer Committee, the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Breast Diseases.
O’Rourke’s presentation will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave. Light
refreshments will be served. Seating is limited. Call 753-5467 for reservations.
